Revenue for the year to 30 September 2025 climbed 8% to £319m, while pre-tax profit surged 55% to £17m as improved project margins and tighter cost control boosted performance.

This saw operating group margin hit 5% up from 3.5% in the prior year, while revenue expansion saw headcount rise by 12% to 469 during the year.

Cash at bank increased to £38m from £22m, leaving the contractor in a strong financial position.

The contractor said it entered the new financial year with a record secured order book worth more than £800m over the next four years, underpinning expectations of revenue reaching around £400m in 2026.

The business reported strong demand across its core markets of data centres, life sciences, commercial offices, hotels, leisure and rail.

Phoenix ME also said its Cambridge office, opened in 2023, had helped diversify the business beyond its traditional London base, while staff from the UK business continue to support a growing European operation.

The firm is targeting further expansion across mainland Europe, with new work expected to begin in Finland and Austria during 2026.
